Budan
For the hills that carried the first seed
The original Chikkamagaluru cup, rooted in the legacy the range is named for.
Budan is the reference lot. It is named for the hills that carried the first seed into these ranges, and it is the cup every other expression here is read against.
Nothing about it is trying to be unusual. It is the estate speaking plainly: shade-grown at 1400 metres, picked by hand, washed and dried slow, roasted until the origin is still audible and stopped there.

Nothing is added because nothing needs to be. The sweetness at 1400 metres was grown into the bean; it was never stirred in afterward.
